Jewellery Care & Materials
Are your earrings and necklaces waterproof?
Our origami jewellery is made from Chiyogami washi paper sealed with a protective coating to make it resistant to everyday wear. However, we recommend keeping it away from water, perfume and prolonged humidity — avoid wearing it while swimming, showering or exercising. With normal care, your pieces will stay beautiful for years.
How do I care for origami jewellery?
Store your pieces in the pouch or box they arrive in, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray or cosmetics. If your piece gets a little dusty, wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth — do not use water or cleaning sprays.
Are the origami pieces fragile?
Our origami pendants are individually sealed to protect the paper and make them durable for everyday wear. They are not as delicate as they look — but as with all handmade jewellery, we recommend handling them with a little care. Avoid dropping or crushing them.
What hook materials are available for earrings?
We offer 9 hook options so every customer can find the right fit: Stainless Steel, 925 Sterling Silver, 18k Gold Plated Stainless Steel, Titanium, Rose Gold Plated Stainless Steel, Black Stainless Steel, Clip-On, Huggie Hoops (Gold), and Huggie Hoops (Silver). Titanium and sterling silver are ideal for sensitive ears.
Are the earrings suitable for sensitive ears?
Yes — we offer hypoallergenic options specifically for sensitive ears. 925 Sterling Silver and Titanium hooks are our most popular choices for customers with metal sensitivities. If you are unsure which to choose, Titanium is the most hypoallergenic option we carry.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship to?
We ship worldwide from Germany. Most orders go to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other EU countries, but we are happy to ship anywhere. Shipping costs and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on your location. Within Germany, orders typically arrive within 2–4 business days. EU countries usually take 4–8 business days. International shipments can take 1–3 weeks depending on customs. All orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days of being placed.
Can I track my order?
Yes — you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. If you have not received this within 3 business days of ordering, please check your spam folder or contact us at leverras.art@gmail.com.
Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
Orders within the EU are not subject to customs fees. For orders outside the EU (including the UK, USA, Australia, etc.), customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country's regulations. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping costs.
Orders & Custom Requests
Can I order a custom colour or design?
Yes! We love making custom pieces. If you have a specific colour, pattern, pride flag or occasion in mind, get in touch at leverras.art@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Custom orders typically take 5–10 business days to make and dispatch.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?
We do accept bulk and wholesale enquiries for shops, gift sets and events. Please contact us at leverras.art@gmail.com with details of what you are looking for and we will discuss options and pricing with you.
Can I send an order as a gift?
Absolutely. All our jewellery is packaged with care and makes a wonderful gift. If you would like a personal note included, add it to the order notes at checkout and we will include it with your parcel. We do not include price information in parcels sent as gifts.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at leverras.art@gmail.com. We will do our best to accommodate changes before the order is dispatched. Once an order has been shipped, we are unable to make changes.
Upcycled Kimono Items
How do I wash upcycled kimono items?
Do not wash kimono items in the washing machine and do not hand wash them — especially the kimono fabric sections. Dry cleaning is the recommended method. Simply airing the garment out after wearing is also effective; kimonos are not designed to be cleaned frequently.
If your item has a removable inner lining (e.g. pants lining), this can be removed and hand washed separately.
Can I iron or steam kimono fabric?
Yes — you can steam and iron kimono fabric, but treat it as you would silk. When ironing, do not apply direct heat to the fabric. Always place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric, and iron inside out so you are not ironing directly onto the printed pattern.
How long will a kimono item last?
Our upcycled kimono pieces are made from high-quality, hand-painted vintage fabric. Treated with care, a kimono garment can last for decades — these textiles were designed for longevity. Think of your piece as wearable art: the more gently you care for it, the longer its beauty will endure.
Is the kimono fabric genuine vintage?
Yes. All our upcycled kimono pieces are made from carefully sourced authentic vintage Japanese kimono and obi fabric. Each piece carries its own unique history, pattern and character — no two are exactly alike. This is what makes every garment a one-of-a-kind piece.
T-Shirts with Japanese Fabric
How do I wash the T-shirts with Japanese fabric?
Machine wash at 30–40°C. The shirts are made from 250 GSM heavyweight 100% cotton and are designed for everyday wear — no special treatment needed for regular washing.
Can I tumble dry the T-shirts?
Yes — tumble dry on a low heat setting. Avoid high heat as this can affect the Japanese fabric panel over time. Remove promptly when dry to minimise creasing.
Can I iron the T-shirts?
Yes — iron on a medium heat setting. We recommend turning the shirt inside out before ironing to protect the Japanese fabric panel and avoid direct heat on the print or pattern.
What are the T-shirts made of?
Our T-shirts are made from 250 GSM heavyweight 100% cotton — substantial and comfortable for everyday wear. Each shirt features a panel of hand-selected authentic traditional Japanese fabric. Because every Japanese fabric panel is individually chosen, no two shirts are exactly alike. Designed by Leverras Art in Germany, made in RPH.
What sizes and fits are available?
We offer three styles: a women's boxy croptop fit and two unisex styles (regular and loose fit), all available in sizes S to XL. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a relaxed fit or sizing down for a more fitted look.
