Collection: Upcycled Kimonos

Upcycled kimono clothing by Leverras Art: hoodies, blazers, palazzo pants, wrap skirts, hooded ponchos and high collar jackets, each cut from a single vintage Japanese kimono. Because every kimono has its own colours and hand-painted or embroidered motifs, every piece exists only once.

Most pieces are made from silk tomesode, the formal kimono worn at weddings and celebrations, with its pattern running along the hem. Some ponchos and jackets are cut from komon, the everyday kimono with a small repeating pattern, or from hōmongi and iromuji. Instead of staying folded in a drawer, these fabrics get a second life as clothing you can wear every day.

Each listing shows the fabric of that exact piece, with its measurements and care notes. Once a piece is sold, it is gone.
