Crane & Cabochon Origami Earrings, Silver

These origami crane earrings combine a cabochon stud with a hand-folded crane that hangs just below it, finished with small beads. The crane is folded from authentic Japanese Chiyogami paper.

In Japan the crane, or tsuru, is a symbol of luck and a long life. Chiyogami is decorative Japanese paper with patterns inspired by kimono textiles. The folded crane is sealed with a protective coating, which keeps the paper in shape.
