Collection: Iromuji & Irotomesode Kimono Pieces

Ponchos, jackets and hoodies cut from vintage iromuji and irotomesode kimono, the coloured ones. An iromuji is dyed in a single colour without a painted pattern; many carry a design woven tone on tone into the silk that only shows when light falls across it. An irotomesode follows the idea of the tomesode, with the design along the hem, but on a coloured ground: soft pink, salmon, lilac or grey. Each piece comes from one single kimono and exists only once.
